Little Legends Lacrosse

Our Story: Where Little Legends Began

Every legend starts with a family.

The Founders

For Allie and Brendan Gleason, lacrosse was never just a sport — it was the thread that connected them, challenged them, and ultimately revealed a purpose far bigger than any game.

A

Allie Gleason

Athlete · Educator · Wellness Expert

Allie's journey began on the field as a Division I athlete at Siena College. But her true calling emerged in what happens before the whistle blows — in how young minds and bodies learn, grow, and thrive. She coached at every level, from middle school to Head Varsity across New York and Florida, then went further: earning her doctorate in Educational Leadership, teaching PK–5 physical and health education, and building wellness and yoga programs for the students in her care. Her doctoral research became a turning point. Studying how today's children think and develop differently — shaped by technology, shrinking attention spans, and less unstructured play — she created a neuroeducational wellness curriculum designed for the modern child. That work now sits at the very heart of Little Legends: the belief that kids must be cognitively healthy to truly flourish, in sport and in life. As a professional life coach, certified yoga instructor, and Lotte Berk barre method instructor, Allie brings a rare blend of athlete, educator, and wellness expert — all in service of one mission: helping young people reach their fullest potential.

B

Brendan Gleason

Coach · Mentor · Defender

For Brendan, lacrosse has always been a family game. He grew up winning state championships at Shoreham-Wading River High School on Long Island alongside his brother, Liam — a bond that carried them together to the Division I field at UAlbany. That partnership shaped everything. Over the past decade, Brendan has poured himself into coaching — developing players with Sweetlax and serving as Defensive Coordinator at Saint Andrew's School — always teaching lessons that reach far beyond the game.

Liam's Legacy

His brother Liam went on to coach at UAlbany, their alma mater, before taking the helm at Siena. There, after five relentless years, he transformed a struggling program into a success story built from the ground up. This past December, Liam tragically passed away, leaving behind his wife, Jaclyn, and their three young children. In his absence, one truth became undeniable: Liam was a legend. He led. He gave everything. He had grit and stayed resilient, always ready for the next play. And he never got angry when someone dropped the ball — because he believed failure was a strength, a reason to get back up and try again.

That is what a legend is.
And that is why Little Legends exists.

The Symbols

Roots & Juice

Little Legends tree logo

Why the tree?

In college, Liam was known simply as 'the tree' for his towering size — but the symbol runs deeper. Legends are like trees: grounded in strong roots, able to bend without breaking in any storm, and standing tall and positive no matter what life brings.

And the 'Juice'?

'Bring the juice' was Liam's rallying cry — his way of saying bring the next play, bring the energy, bring life back to the team. Today, Juice is our reminder to never fear failure: get back up, try again, and never give up.
